Weelll, my boyfriend is actually a few months younger than I am, so we're really pretty much the same age I guess. Like a lot of people have said, I see it as sort of a maturity thing. I, for one, do get along a lot better with people 2+ years older than I am, and even most of my friends online are over 20. However, I do feel there is a limit, especially at my age (15) where you get people dating someone who's 21. I feel that if you aren't 18 yet, 2-3 years is probably the limit you should go.
Then again, my parents are 14 years apart, haha. But they did meet when they were both legal, so it doesn't bother me.
I seriously do not like age gaps, it creeps the crap out of me, I mean if you're over 20 and you date someone 5 years older that's okay, it's legal. But when people do the whole 15 dating a 21 year old, its weird and frickn illegal. Myself personally, I wouldn't date anyone more than 8-9 months younger than me, I wouldn't mind dating older, no more than 2 years older though. AGE IS JUST A NUMBER, gets on my nerves. A lot.
My boyfriend is almost 4 years older than me but we're on this edge, so i guess 3. I like to think that age doesn't matter but realistically looking it does at other parts in life. Now, if you're 15 like me, anyone older by 4 years is too mature for me and it frankly just sounds wrong even though it might not hurt the relationship as much. I honestly don't like dating people who are younger than me more than one year. But as more you grow up, even those 4 years that seem huge now,it starts to fade. I mean, if you're 20 and he's 24, you wouldn't even ask yourself. In my opinion, anything over 4 years, until you hit your 18th, is just a bit too much. About them being younger is just your and your choice only.
Up to 2 years younger, and 4 years older. I'm 15 and anyone older than 4 years would be way to mature for me at this age, and anyone younger than 12-13 can't even feel real love in my opinion o-o;.
age doesnt matter unless its out of preportions. like my girlfriend is one year older than me which is ok. but if youre like 15 and dating a 30 its kinda wierd. Im not saying that i dont approve of it, im just saying that theyre a LITTE bit too old for you.
